Travel & Trekking Time: ~4–5 hours
Depart from Arusha in the morning with your GameDrive Africa driver-guide.
Arrive at Momella Gate, complete park formalities, and begin the trek through lush montane forest.
Look out for wildlife such as colobus monkeys, bushbucks, and exotic birds.
Reach Miriakamba Hut (2,500m) for lunch and rest.
Optional afternoon hike to Mirimani Crater for acclimatization.
Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba Hut.

Mount Meru is a moderate to challenging trek. It is less crowded and less technical than Kilimanjaro, making it ideal for first-time high-altitude trekkers or as an acclimatization climb before Kilimanjaro.
