Day 1: Arrival in Arusha & Pre-Climb Briefing
Touch down in the bustling town of Arusha, where our team greets you with a warm welcome before transferring you to a pre-booked hotel. Once you’ve checked in, your dedicated Mount Meru guide leads an informative orientation covering safety procedures, gear inspection, and trekking logistics.
Later, you’ll have the rest of the day to unwind and prepare. Feel free to relax at the hotel or explore the local scene. This downtime offers the perfect chance to mentally and physically gear up for the climb ahead.
Day 2: Begin the Ascent – Arusha to Miriakamba Hut
After an early breakfast, your guide picks you up and heads toward Momella Gate, the entrance to Arusha National Park. Once park registration is complete, your Mount Meru trekking adventure officially begins.
The trail winds through lush montane forests, offering a chance to spot colobus monkeys, buffalo, antelope, and a variety of birds. As you climb higher, the scenery shifts into wooded hillsides and peaceful glades, giving every step a new view to enjoy.
